July 12- July 17. Competitors at Transilvania Aventura will have to get their car through very difficult situations, swamps, water crossings, rocks, sideslopes, steep uphills and breathtaking downhills. Combined with the navigation this will demand a lot from the teams and the cars.
A beautiful video report of Transilvania Trophy. You’ll get the idea!
For those who were in Transilvania Aventura, Extreme class used to be the car wrecking class. This has changed. Organizers specifically checked the most difficult passages with their own cars to be sure there is a safe way through without body damage. But participants will need front, rear and top winch (if they have one) every day.
Adventure Class is going back to the roots of offroading. There is no timing for the Adventure Class. Nevertheless teams will have to drive at a certain pace to complete the roadbook each day. Having no timing, we hope this will lead to more relaxed driving and mutual assistance between the teams leading to the old school offroad experience.
Beautiful roadbooks will be pretty demanding and participants will ask themselves “are they serious, is this really for adventure class?” Since they made the roadbooks using a 30+ year old Toyota BJ4 and a Toyota HDJ80 without lockers, both on BFG Mud tyres, the organizers are confident everyone can get through. Using the winch and the second car or even with the help of other teams, there is a way out.
Open class has been created on special demand. Open Class will use the roadbooks of the Adventure class but the teams will be timed. They will not use the same roadbooks on the same day so participants of the adventure class will not have people racing around their heads.
See you at Transilvania Aventura 2015.
