Gradisca off road meeting is probably one of the biggest off road events in this part of Europe. Along with other huge festivals, Gradisca has a big number of participants also. There is one thing that strongly differentiates it from other festivals. And that’s driving. Two days of driving through dry riverbeds, beautiful sceneries and various terrain.
No, it’s not like a test drive Jeep or Land Rover will offer you on the Abenteuer Allrad festival. It’s you and your car. And the participation fee is next to nothing – 150 euro per car, number of mebers is irrelevant. You get two days of driving and all the refreshment (eating, drinking) included in the price we just mentioned.
Let me just tell you a few more facts. 528 cars participated last year. The roadbook had 68 pages. There’s a tourist class too, if you are affraid to scratch your car etc. AND!
Food and drink offered on Gradisca off road meeting should be added as a definition of awesomeness in the dictionaries all over the world .
Here is something you should know:
There is no set-time of travel; the event is definitely not due to “race” or “competitive sport”. The participant may decide personally and independently on the feasibility and safety of the tracks indicated in the road book. The organization does not impose any obligation. Only the paths indicated by the road book are authorized to drive on. A professional road book (easy to read) provides all the necessary information to follow the paths that, in any case, will be further marked by signs, tapes and official marshalls.
It is not mandatory but is recommended the tow rope on board.
The race is held on 5th and 6th of December in the City of Gradisca in Italy: For the program and other informations you can visit the GFI Alpe Adria website. Don’t forget to change your plans and come to Gradisca!
