Do you think off roading is only about mud? No, it’s not. And the GRAF off road is all the proof you need. Huge rocks, really deep ditches in the forest and deep water. Yes you get it all at the GRAF Adventure Series. Trial, rockcrawling and most of all, teamwork.

Montalegre in Portugal hosted this great off road event, GRAF is a successor of the widely known Rainforest Challenge Montalegre (2014). Portugal actually offers really good quality events, such as Xtrem Portugal and Ultra4 King of Portugal. GRAF Adventure Series is not an exception. Miles and miles of very demanding terrain was just the thing we expected, and yes, all the international teams got it.
22 teams from Portugal, UK, Cyprus, France, Spain and Ireland came to compete to Portugal.
After the technical inspection, the baptism of fire happened in the evening. Three night stages in a very dark forest.
Teams were divided into groups, after finishing the SS, they went on to the next one.
This part of racing was sponsored by Lazer Lamps and the winning team was award with a nice prize.
A lot of winching at this trial stage was best suited for the Landcruiser of the Irish team Doyle / Conroy.
It was just to get things rolling before the next two days of crawling and “snorkeling”.
Minas da Borralha, an old mine hosted the next day of racing. The limit to finish the day was at 8 PM.
SS5 was sponsored by Red Winches by Offroad Projects and the winner was 206 – Cayro. Deep holes in the middle of the woods.
Second day of racing starts with speed track sponsored by D6-4×4.com and a hard finish with mud and water. Team 404 was the winner!
In the afternoon, competitors moved to another area for more racing on bigger rocks. The landscape was amazing.
Dark forest was a home for two night stages. First was team racing (two vehicles). Second SS was classic individual racing. This was Sponsored by “Stronger than Steel “ and the winner was 219 Cameirão 4×4/K2.
Last day was held outside Montalegre on a rallycross track. All teams lined up for a huge ascend. After overcoming the huge obstacle on the top, teams headed back down.
Last SS of 2015 edition was the Carta Rallye Track. Two teams side by side. Mud and very hard winching.
The GRAF Off Road Adventure series was great. The goal is to use all possible natural obstacles and provide a very good atmosphere during the race.
The weather was sunny and hot. Park Ferme was in town so people could enjoy and see the trucks and the Teams working.
