A mud show at Attimis. This Italian ex clay mine hosted the race of XTC championship which from now on, will also be a part of the Europe Xtreme Challenge. The all new championship with races held throughout Europe.
On 16th and 17th of April, this legendary place was once again visited by many teams competing for both championships.
Configuration of the terrain is extremely interesting, mud is always both the director and screenwriter. Teams experienced a hard and challenging race, some parts were technical, some were speed sections.
It was a hard day at work for 7 teams in “prepared” class and 6 teams in “prototype” category.
Five special tests on Saturday morning and and five more in the afternoon. In a deep forest full of tests for suspension flex and winches…
Best Prepared class team was Arrigucci/Arrigucci. Their SJ413 with Vitara 1.6 engine was 1h52′ faster than the team Morandini/Morganti. Also in a Suzuki, equipped with MB Corse doublemotor winch. Rubechini/Vagnoni came in third in the prepared class.
A crazy race was held between teams in the Proto class too. Land Rover Defender 90 by team Collarini/Koci finished first. Spanish team Lanzagorta/Otaegui finished second in their Suzuki Monster Evo 7. Third team was Cognini/Aguzzi in LR Discovery Proto.
Sunday was also an amazing day with three morning special tests and one test in the afternoon. Lots of winching and pedal to the metal to pass through some of the most grueling mud pits of the 4×4 scene.
After a long time and lots of effort, victory in the “prepared” class was taken by brothers Arrigucci. “Proto” class was won by Collarini and Koci.
MIDLAND action cameras, sponsor of Europe Xtreme Challenge took care of the prizes for the winning teams.
